In October 2018, the Mayor and City Council revised the registration procedures for golf carts operating within the City. A new $25 annual registration fee was adopted for City residents, and a new application was prepared. Registration decals to be affixed to the sides of golf carts are being ordered by the City, and golf cart owners need to have their registrations complete by February 15th. Golf carts must be demonstrated to be in good working order, including exhaust systems for gas-powered carts. The Mayor and Council also included a provision in the revised Cart Ordinance for non-City residents to be able to register their own carts for use within the City limits.
