Councilman Alfred R. Dixon, III was originally born in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and moved to Clayton County, Ga in 2003 and has been apart of the Jonesboro community ever since. Councilman Dixon is a first class graduate of The World Famous Mundy’s Mill High School Of Jonesboro in 2005, attended Clayton State University in Morrow, Ga and is currently serving his 1st term on the Council for the City of Jonesboro. Councilman Dixon’s goals for the city is to make youth involvement key to the overall direction of Jonesboro; providing an opportunity for them to be productive citizens; ensure the city is united in communication, passion, and in purpose; increase marketability and support for new and current businesses; and make Jonesboro a more inclusive and cohesive place to live.
